OH how frustrating!! In half the blogs I reguarly read, the girls are all running the Disney marathon tomorrow, and I am so jealous!! I want to run a marathon!! I think it’s officially on my List Of Things To Do..I didn’t manage to run this morning in the end, it was blowing a snowy gale so I just stuck around inside and did some groovy DVDs instead – not the same though! I’m CRAVING running so bad!!
Before my dvd fun this morning, I snacked on a beast of an apple – SO deep red and juicy,( but unfortunatly my camera didn’t fancy focusing this morning, and I suck with technology, so I abandoned a picture mission…)- and a tbsp wheatgerm and a square of Lindt
Breakfast was my lovely epic cereal combo – All Bran, Oat Crisp, Fru-Grains and museli, accompnied by a banana smoothie (basically banana, milk, cinnamon, agave):
I was sooo bored and fidgety today – you know those days where you know you have plenty of work to do, but it just doesn’t appeal? I just didn’t want to sit on my butt all morning and write, so instead I took a 3mile walk, to get the newspaper – it was VERY COLD AND SNOWY! And quite scary, a car went passed me(that happens quite often on roads..but this one in particular was interesting :p) and every time the wind picked up, the car just spun round! It was weird to watch :s
So anyway, I had been planning a lovely big salad for lunch, but I got back and was c o l d, so instead I opted for ‘soup’ aka vegetable puree :p
It began with some veggies: squash, garlic, and onion
and some teeeny sweet potatoes (this is half of one, I had two
)
and some spices
I softened my onion with the garlic, added the squash and cooked for a few mins with the spices, then added some stock and let it simmer away til soft. Meanwhile, I baked the sweet potato then peeled off the skins (and munched them, I LOOVVEE sweet potato skin), then added them to my mix
Twas then pureed!
For added protein, I got some sardines
And mashed the beasties up with some philadelphia, to make a lunch that very closely resembled this :
It was my first time using a new bowl and I was unreasonably excited! Does anyone else get exctied when they use new cutlery or is that just me!!?? It was a big bowl of veggie happiness
It took me about 1 1/2 hours to sort out the horses today – I was all on my lonesome as Hannah has gone back to uni! Twas rather horrific as it was snowing the whole time!! So at snack time, I wanted some waaaarrmth
Enter a crumpet (I haven’t had one of them in SO long!) with a blue cheese square, and an (unpictured) hot chocolate:
Dinner was pretty good too: I had river cobbler! I love that fish; it’s meant to be bland and crap like cod, but I think it has a lovely flavour
and it’s pretty cheap as far as fish goes – only £2 for 2 fillets! I made a kind-of like stew with it: carrots, butterbeans and parsnips and garlic, with cumin, cinnamon, corriander and nutmeg (and s + p) in a 1/2 can of chopped tomatoes, with some added apple cider vinegar. I let all that just stew away for like, 45mins – it was lovely!
I also had some roasted broccoli and garlic on the side – darn I love broccoli roasted!! It all produced a fabby dinner:
Tasty times!
My evening snack was the same as usual – some 2% yogurt, 2 squares of Lindt dark (coffee flavour today – mmm!!) and a hot chocolate. Perffeect end
And now my bed calls me again!! Goodnight
