Morning everyone!!
Today started off much better than yesterday, thank goodness! I woke up and had 2squares of galaxy, a cheese triangle and a banana – but not just any banana, I treated myself to hot banana today!! I LOVE hot banana – so easy – I just got the banana, slit the skin, and microwaved it for ages til it went mushy!
I had that sprinkled with cinnamon…soo good…I think making a banana hot means all the sugars release or something?
No idea, but it is so tasty
I then ran for 52minutes. Now I’m back at uni, I don’t have a clue how many miles it is, but going by previous speeds, I’d guess it was around 6miles, maybe a bit over. It was a good run though; I’m really rattling through Twilight New Moon! Bella is SO SO annoying in this book..she’s spent the last 3.5hours just moping around being miserable. I wish Edward would come back just to stop her whining!!
When I got back, I had a lovely parcel waiting for me, which contained:
Two books on marathon running, and A GARMIN 305!!! YAY! Now I can run and know time, speed, distance and a million other groovy things! I’ve got to try and work out how to use it first, which will take a lifetime (I’m not the most technically gifted human being….) but yayyy! I’m going to go for a short brisk run tomorrow morning to try it out
Don’t you love getting parcels? I always feel so special when I get one..!
Breakfast was a bit different today – I decided to try out milk on my cereal….so I got 1cup of this:
teamed with 1/2cup of puffed wheat, and mixed it together:
Then loaded on the remainders from my carton of Greek yogurt, as well as about 2/3rds cup unsweetened soya milk and some cinnamon, (and 2 figs on the side)
It was really good!! I may have also had a tsp of my favourite granola, just cos
I also had my first EVER taste of iced coffee!! And let me tell you..I’m a big fan! This was what I had:
Aaah I was a happy camper after that breakfast (the coffee was really sweet, which was surprising) :) despite the reaaaally miserable looking weather on my walk into lectures:
After lectures, I was suddenly really hungry – does anyone else get really hungry after lecturesor lots of work, despite not actually moving? It’s weird :s Anyways, I snacked on about 20 almonds:
Lunch was light (and fun IMHO
) today – I’ve got a class at 6, so I’ll be having a really early dinner. I had some natural yogurt, topped with half a papaya, and a sprinkling of Fru-grains:
That was SO GOOD!!! I love papaya, especially when it was on ‘reduced to clear’ and so was mega cheap at the supermarket yesterday
My ‘main’ was just a big pile of veggies! I was really excited to try some Jeruselum artichokes again:
They have such a great flavour, kinda like celeriac (which I also love), but better…I just love them
I roasted them with broccoli and cherry tomatoes, and lots of barbeque salt, as well as having some stir fried mushrooms and spinach salad leaves. It was good!!
Oh, and check out my fancy new kitchen scales – They’re so shiny and beautiful!!
It’s the little things in life that get me excited
Well now I must dash – I have work to do, a face to put on, hair to sort out, a newspaper to buy and dinner to cook before my class :s I think I’ll just finish off my stuffedpasta for dins, it’s nice and quick
Have a good afternoon!
