More on why in a minute!
First, I’m tired- there’s a mouse in my room. It kept rustling and waking me up in the night! At about 4am, I thought to myself if that mouse wakes me up once more, I’m going to go fetch Obama…Thankfully (for the mouse at least), it didn’t. But, here is a very very blurry picture of Obama anyway, for your viewing pleasure
She’s actually curled up by my feet as I type
Anyways, today’s run was a 10milers. I had a piece of fudge before I left:
As well as my last English muffin spread with some hummus:
I then did 10miles in 1hr22mins - these are my stats:
- Lap 1 – 8.12
- Lap 2 – 8.26
- Lap 3 – 8.22
- Lap 4 – 8.11
- Lap 5 – 8.05
- Lap 6 – 8.16
- Lap 7 – 8.08
- Lap 8 – 8.11
- Lap 9 – 8.20
- Lap 10 – 7. 45 – I decided to do this last mile fast, after a tip I read on Meghann’s blog
PLus I felt fab so it made sense!
Breakfast was a recipe from Iowa Girl Eats - yes, another one off her page! That woman does the BEST food! Check out her blog
It was: FRENCH TOAST! (I’ve never had french toast, I was excited by the thought…) But not just any french toast, cinnamon flavour of course!
I started with peeling and cutting up an apple, and putting it in a pan with cinnamon, 1/2tsp butter, pinch of salt, 2tbsp water, 1/2tsp vanilla extract, 1tsp lemon juiceĀ and a tsp agave nectar:
And cooked it til it was soft:
I then got 1 egg and combined it with 1/2tsp vanilla, lots o’ cinnamon, and a dash of milk, dunked 2 slices of bread in and began to cook them in the pan:
And kept cooking til they were browned:
Topped with my lovely soft cinnamony apples, and breakfast was served!! (Along with another of those caffe lattes, like the one I had the other day):
It was really good! Maybe a tiny bit dry? But I’ve never cooked french toast before, and I was running out of egg mixture, so I figure that’s why..but it was so tasty anyway! A good change from my normal oatmeal, it makes the blog a bit more interesting!!
Well, that was my morning – I’m now going to go ride Chika, sort lunch, then go look at KITTENS!! Hopefully I’ll be able to take some pictures (no flash of course, I don’t want to blind their lil kitteny eyes :p).
Have a good Saturday!

I find that if I let the bread sit an extra minute in the egg mixture it helps keep it moist
Oh and I like foodiefreya!
aahh good idea! I literally dunked and fried, so that’s probably why, thanks for the tip!
