My head is pure fuzz right now – I can’t seem to think straight! I’ve had a busy afternoon – I had this evening class which was a careers module thing, and I had a mock interview in it! We had to pick a graduate level job, and then go and have a mock interview where a fellow student and an official interviewer would give us a proper interview…scary times, especially considering I’ve NEVER had an interview in my entire life!
I think it went OK though; apparently the thing I need to work on is just elaborating more. It’s weird, I was worried I was just going to ramble and bore the interviewer so I kept things tight, but apparently they wanted to be rambled at! Learn something new everyday ay 🙂
After that was over, I drove hommeeee 😀 I’ve got no classes or lectures or tutorials tomorrow so I thought I’d entertain myself here for a bit. After all, Obama and Chika are both here, and if it’s a toss up between the Uni House of Sauna, or those two – the latter win!!
Onto da FOOD! I had suuuuch a delicious dinner!! Though I was eating it in a rush so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted, but it was still darn fine. I started with – you guessed it – squash and parsnip and garlic, which I seasoned with some of this:
Smokey BBQ seasoning, such a wonderful smell! I let that roast for about 23mins, along with some smoked haddock:
Don’t you just love smoked fish!? It makes normal fish taste inferior 😛 and the ultimate smoked fish is salmon or trout…ohmygosh, smoked salmon or trout is one of my favourite foods ever 😀 Anyway – That roasted away, and while it did so, I got started on my fresh egg noodles. I donked them in a pan, along with a good glug of each of these:
Hoi sin sauce, soy sauce and oyster sauce. The noodles were cooked over a high heat for 3mins…
….and then threw it all on a plate and ate it very fast, so I wasn’t late for careers class (though I was actually the first there AND they started late. Hmph.)
The noodles were soooo tasty today! And all the smokey/bbq flavours were reaaaaally good:
Just before I started to drive home, I snacked on the last of those weird Atkins protein bars to boost my cals a bit [seeing as I hadn’t had a big lunch OR my afternoon snack :(]…
…which I’ve reviewed on here before. It went out of date on the 15th January, but so far it hasn’t made me ill….fingers crossed!
Then when I got home, I had my usual evening food – 2%, hot chocolate, and 2 pieces dark. Now I am ZONKED. I need to read and work and so on..but at the same time, it’s almost 10pm, and Vogue and Glamour came through the post….decisions, choices, ahhh!!
Oh well. That’s all for tonight!
Pasta looks delicious! I’ve never thought to make it with fish. And I love that you have a chocolate snack every night…my kind of girl!
The smoked fish went really well!
Haha, I have chocolate first thing when I wake up and last thig before I go to bed..I really am a proper girl!
